Description from The Lh'owon Ar'kives -

Did you like the original high-res texture enhancement pack? Then check this out: All the textures from Marathon: Infinity, Marathon 2: Durandal, and M1A1, now all in 24-bit 1024 x 1024 high-res versions! (and absolutely every single one of 'em uses millions of colors).  Very easy to install because it simply replaces the old texture enhancement pack by just dragging the files. Now, if you got the latest version of Aleph One and a kick-ass video card then this is what you need to play Marathon at it's best!

Warning: Because these textures are such a high-quality (millions of colors) they will also slow Aleph One down in performance. If you got a low-end Mac you may want to give Aleph One all the memory you can spare. The hi-res version of this package requires at least 256 MB of VRAM to run properly. The mid-res version of this package requires at least 128 MB of VRAM to run properly. The low-res version of this package requires at least 64 MB of VRAM to run properly. And the tiny-res version of this package requires at least 32 MB of VRAM to run properly.

What's new in 6.0:

- Textures have been remade in JPEG format, and are now substantially smaller than their old counterparts.
- Most textures are either completely remade or have major visual improvements.
- A small bug has been fixed with texture colors and a tiny bug in the texture script has also been fixed.
- New 256x256 (low-res) and 1024x1024 (high-res) packages have been uploaded as well to join the standard 512x512 texture package. This is to make the Total Texture Enhancement Package available for a larger audience.
- A few more never before seen textures made by digital artist Jay Faircloth are included to replace older less quality textures.
- Installation instructions in the 'Read Me!' are much clearer and the textures are therefore even easier to install.

THIS TEXTURE PACK FOR M1A1 IS OLDER THAN THE 'M1A1 TEXTURE ENHANCEMENT 6.0'

Description from included ReadMe -

The textures included in this pack were made originally for Marathon: Resurrection by Jay Faircloth. Jay, being a good fella, donated his work to the M1A1 project, and hence, to the Marathon community at large.

Once Raul stopped smashing his head against the roof, he realized Jay's textures didn't cover all the wall bitmaps in the Shapes file. So he created the missing textures. These textures can be found inside the grendel and pid directories; plus the starscape, lava12 and water19 textures, located elsewhere.

Hi-res (256x256). Also available in low-res (128x128).

THIS BONUS PACK FOR M1A1 IS INCLUDED WITH 'M1A1 TEXTURE ENHANCEMENT 5.0'

Description from included ReadMe -

If you decide to use one of these new Alternate Starscapes, simply copy the MML script found in any of the sub-directories into the Scripts directory.  WARNING: This will overwrite any existing Revival MML script file for the same type and resolution present in the Scripts folder, so make sure you COPY the alternate script file instead of moving it.  That way, the script files (including the standard Revival MML script found in the "original" sub-directory) will be preserved and you will be able to change your M1A1 starscapes whenever you wish.

Created for the "M1A1 for SDL v1.5 Special Edition", this bonus pack contains a moonscape texture and four bonus starscape textures for players to use by copying the appropriate MML into the Scripts folder.  The "Marathon Revival Texture Pack for M1A1" is required to run the Bonus Pack.  WARNING: The resolution and file format used must be the same or you will very likely have problems (ie. low-res PNG Bonus Pack with low-res PNG Revival Pack).  Only ONE Revival MML script should be present in your Scripts folder at any time.

Hi-res (256x256). Also available in low-res (128x128).
